Funfetti Waffles

Today, my baby boy turned 5 years old - so of course I had to wake him up with Funfetti waffles for breakfast. He was so excited and they were definitely tasty!

Ingredients:
Waffles:
1.5 cups Funfetti box cake mix
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
dash of salt
1 egg
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 1/3 cup water
Rainbow sprinkles (optional)

Icing Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp milk
Rainbow sprinkles (optional)

Instructions:
Mix waffle dry ingredients in a medium bowl and slowly whisk in the egg, oil, and water. Stir in the extra sprinkles and add 1/3 to 1/2 cup of the batter into your greased preheated waffle maker. Cook until slightly brown and onto the next one (makes about 8 waffles).

In a separate small mixing bowl, whisk the powdered sugar with the milk until smooth. Add sprinkles if you desire and pour over cooked waffles. You could also top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup if you don't want to make the icing glaze. Enjoy - we sure did!
